Malaysian talent show winner taught himself to sing by listening to Adam Lambert

A singer-songwriter named Sufi Rashid recently won Malaysian reality television competition Akademi Fantasia and he has revealed that he taught himself to sing by listening to the vocals of Adam Lambert.

Chatting to The Straits Times, Rashid explained that he has always been inspired by the 'Ghost Town' sensation's powerful voice and used it to teach himself to sing to the very best of his ability:

"I had the intention to take professional vocal lessons, but they were quite an expensive investment. So I learn by watching performances by singers such as Adam Lambert and practise by myself."

Lambert, meanwhile, will appear as the character Eddie in the upcoming TV reboot of 'Rocky Horror Picture Show', which will air on October 20. Find out more about the project here
