Zayn Malik: 'I just don't have it in me to feel fully secure'

'Pillowtalk' sensation Zayn Malik has opened up about his insecurities and confessed that he never feels secure.

Chatting to Elle magazine, the heartthrob explained that he has a tendency to overthink everything and is constantly striving to push himself further:

"At that time in my life I felt I had done everything I could do there and I just needed to change it up. It didn't feel brave. I just don't have it in me to feel fully secure in anything I do. I always strive towards something better. It’s why I think sometimes I come across the wrong way, a bit distant. I’m just stressed out trying to control how I’m perceived. I think about things a lot.”

Malik, meanwhile, earned himself a nomination in this year's MTV Video Music Awards for his 'Pillowtalk' visuals. He has been recognised in the Best Visual Effects category alongside Coldplay, FKA Twigs, The Weeknd and Adele.
