5 Seconds of Summer star Ashton Irwin has revealed his pride at the band's success.

The group won three prizes at this weekend's Teen Choice Awards.

They are also currently in the middle of their Sounds Live Feels Live world tour and it seems things have hit Irwin hard.

He took to Twitter on Sunday (July 31) to pay tribute to his three bandmates for their work ethic.

The drummer wrote: "Proud of my band for working so hard, this is the 4th year straight of touring and the second world tour in a row.

"Thank you to you guys for making us strong. I love every show we play. Xx."

The Teen Choice awards picked up by the band were Choice Summer Tour, Choice Rock Song ('Jet Black Heart') and Choice Summer Music Star: Group.
