The Amy Winehouse Foundation has revealed plans to open a home for women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

The East London house will a total of 16 women aged between 18 and 30.

Amy's Place will open on August 22 and the home will be run with help from Centra Care and Support.

Five years ago singer Winehouse died in her home in Camden at the age of 27 as a result of accidental alcohol poisoning.

The rehab house will focus participants on a three-month programme.

Those taking part are expected to also learn from relapse prevention groups.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation was set up in 2011 by the singer's family in an effort to support young people struggling with drugs and alcohol.
