Jared Leto on his incredible career: 'Fame has never been a target for me'

Actor and rocker Jared Leto has opened up about all the opportunities his life has allowed him and confessed that he never set out to be famous.

Chatting to GQ magazine about his career as both an award-winning actor and frontman of an incredibly successful rock band, the star explained that it's great to try his hand at all of his passions and to figure out what fits him best:

"My career has had a nice slow burn. I never woke up one day and all of a sudden my life changed. And I'm grateful for that, because I think it has allowed me the time and space to adjust accordingly, to find out where and how I'm comfortable doing things. A little bit has been fate. Some of it's been design. Fame has never been a target for me."

Leto currently stars as The Joker in the new action movie 'Suicide Squad' and recently admitted that it was a great challenge to step into the iconic role: "You’re kind of walking upon hallowed ground, and it deserves the very best that you can do. It takes over your life and that’s what I needed to do for myself.”
