Blossoms on course to land first UK No.1 album

Blossoms look likely to top the UK albums chart this week.

The band's new self-titled debut record is today (August 8) over 7,000 units ahead in the race for the No.1 title.

At No.2 on the Official Charts Company's midweek update is Giggs' fellow new entry 'Landlord'.

Last week's No.1 - Viola Beach's self-titled posthumous debut - falls to No.3.

ELO's 'All Over The World' greatest hits drops two places to No.4, with Wild Beasts' 'Boy King' debuting at No.5.

Moose Blood are straight in at No.6 with their second effort 'Blush'.

The Cadillac Three's new entry 'Bury Me In My Boots' is in at No.14, while Dinosaur Jr's 'Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not' debuts at No.15.
