A label executive has confirmed that The Weeknd is collaborating with Daft Punk.

Executive VP and head of urban A&R at Republic Records Wendy Goldstein told Billboard that the two acts are working together.

She said: "Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days with the Weeknd and Daft Punk, and I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan.

"This is the first time I’ve been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them."

The Weeknd seemingly teased the collaboration recently by uploading online an image of two Daft Punk figurines.
