T.I., Busta Rhymes tweet for Pimp C

Along with several other major hip hop artists, rappers T.I. and Busta Rhymes took to Twitter yesterday (December 4) to honour the third anniversary of UKG member Pimp C’s death.

Texan Pimp C passed away in 2007 after an overdose, but the rapper’s legacy is one that artists continue to champion years later.

Artists like Rick Ross, Big Boi and Chamillionaire all posted “R.I.P Pimp C” on their twitter accounts, while – despite being in prison – rapper T.I. tweeted “RIP to Pimp C from #TeamTI”.

Busta Rhymes also lent his digital voice to the cause, tweeting: "RIP AND SALUTE 2 PIMP C AND WE HONOR THE BIG HOMIE”

He went on to express support for friend Bun who dedicated most of his tweets that day to Pimp C: “@BunBTrillOG 4 SO PROPERLY PRESERVING THE VALUE OF THE UGK BRAND AND LEGACY!!" Busta wrote. "SALUTE!!"
