Lady Gaga says she felt 'traumatised' by success: 'I needed a moment to stabilise'

Lady Gaga has admitted that she felt "traumatised" when her career took off.

The singer released her first album 'The Fame' in 2008 and she has grown into a household name ever since.

Speaking to The Mirror, the US star conceded that she initially struggled to cope with her rise to fame.

Gaga said: "I needed a moment to stabilise.

"When my career took off, I don’t remember anything at all. It’s like I’m traumatised. I needed time to recalibrate my soul."

The singer meanwhile is currently promoting her new single 'Perfect Illusion', which was released digitally on Friday (September 9).
