Lady Gaga says she felt 'traumatised' by success: 'I needed a moment to stabilise'Lady Gaga has admitted that she felt "traumatised" when her career took off. The singer released her first album 'The Fame' in 2008 and she has grown into a household name ever since. Speaking to The Mirror, the US star conceded that she initially struggled to cope with her rise to fame. Gaga said: "I needed a moment to stabilise. "When my career took off, I don’t remember anything at all. It’s like I’m traumatised. I needed time to recalibrate my soul."
