Find out why Miley Cyrus will 'never do a red carpet again'

Miley Cyrus has vowed to never walk a red carpet again because she thinks it's not fair on people who are "starving" in the world.

The singer told Elle that the concept of the red carpet at events wrongly elevates famous people.

As a result, the US star she will never walk down one ever again.

Cyrus said: "[A year ago] I had to do the 'A Very Murray Christmas' premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again.

"Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit - it's like Zoolander."

The singer meanwhile has been busy this year working as a coach on the US series of The Voice.
