Elton John is ready to hang up his boots: 'My records don't sell any more'

Sir Elton John has suggested retirement could be on the horizon.

The musician, who is nearly 70, told Good Morning Britain on Monday (September 19) that he is finding it harder to sell albums.

However, it seems he could continue to play live, with his tour schedule recently adding UK shows for next summer.

John said: "I love playing. My records don't sell any more because people have enough Elton John records in their collection.

"I love making them but it's someone else's turn now."
