Janet Jackson's "Nasty" enjoys massive increase in streams following presidential debate

Last night saw the third and final presidential debate take place in the USA and the broadcast saw Republican candidate Donald Trump refer to Democrat leader Hillary Clinton as a "nasty woman", which has had a surprising impact in the music world.

Spotify confirmed this evening that streams of Janet Jackson's track "Nasty" have seen a 250% increase since Trump made his remark and tweeted:

"Who's jamming to that nasty groove? It's you lot, with streams of Nasty up 250% since last night… #debates."

Janet Jackson, meanwhile, recently announced that she is expecting a baby at the age of 50 and told People magazine: "We thank God for our blessing."
