Bruce Springsteen track was rejected for 'Harry Potter' filmIconic rocker Bruce Springsteen has revealed that he wrote a song that he hoped might have been included in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise, but it was turned down by producers. Chatting to BBC Radio 2 this week, he explained that the track was a little unusual given the kind of material he is known for, so he thought he might be able to find a home for it within the well-loved movies: “It was pretty good. It was a song that I wrote for my eldest son, it was a big ballad that was very uncharacteristic of something I’d sing myself. But it was something that I thought would have fit lovely.” When asked if it was rejected, Springsteen confirmed: "That is true. They didn’t use it.” He went onto add that he hopes the cut, entitled "I’ll Stand By You", will be picked up in the future for use in a "children’s movie of some sort because it was a pretty lovely song."
