Michael Jackson and Akon's 'Hold My Hand' video debuts

The music video for Michael Jackson’s duet with Akon and first posthumous single ‘Hold My Hand’ has officially premiered.

The video features fans celebrating the legacy of Jackson interspersed with old footage of the King of Pop.

The video was shot in California and was directed by Mark Pellington, who said in a statement: "The video is a tribute to all that Michael stands for -- life, in all its permutations...love, and its power.... A video of memory, healing and joy.”

The single will be included on the upcoming album ‘Michael’ which is comprised of left-over and unfinished recordings for the popstar before his death. Along with Akon, artists such as Lenny Kravitz and 50 Cent also make appearances.
