Gaz Beadle "salutes" James Arthur for "opening up about the darkness in his head"

Gaz Beadle, known for his involvement in the 'Georgie Shore' TV show, has written an article for the Daily Star newspaper about the importance of starting a dialogue around mental health issues.

In the editorial, he praised "Say You Won't Let Go" hitmaker James Arthur for being so vocal and transparent about his own struggles and wrote:

"My mate James Arthur, didn't we all rush to follow him on Twitter when we heard s*** was going down and thought his career was screwed and he was history. How about we all do the same now that he has conquered his demons and made a stellar comeback?"

"And what a comeback, mate. His album is brilliant. I salute him, opening up about the darkness in his head, on TV and in his music. He's an ambassador for the mental health charity SANE too. Speaking publicly gives courage to those not yet ready to do that."

James Arthur, meanwhile, recently spoke to London's Evening Standard newspaper and explained that he definitely thought about ending his life on numerous occasions: "I was ever near a balcony, or in my car, I’d have an image of me jumping over or driving off the road. But then I’d think, don’t do it, you’ve got sisters."
