Eddie Redmayne had "disastrous" experience with airport security thanks to magic wand

Actor Eddie Redmayne has revealed that he recently had a "disastrous" experience with airport security after travelling with a magic wand in his luggage.

The star plays the lead role of Newt Scamander the highly anticipated movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and he explained to BUILD Series that he had a "sharp, scary object" in his bag that made customs a little difficult:

"I brought it because I felt like it would be reassuring to have Newt's wand. But then we were coming through customs and I suddenly realise that a wand looks like a really sharp, scary object and then to try and explain it to a customs person, I was like, 'Have you seen the ... No?' That was a bit disastrous."

The film is scheduled to be officially released in the United Kingdom on November 18.
