Niall Horan teases Harry Styles' solo music: 'He has a rocky edge'

Niall Horan says his One Direction bandmate Harry Styles will go down a "rockier" route for his solo career music.

The singer signed a deal with Columbia earlier this year following One Direction's decision to go on a break at the end of 2015, while Horan and Liam Payne have also signed their own contracts.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the American Music Awards on Sunday (November 20), Horan said Styles is more rock than One Direction and Payne his more beat-driven.

The Irishman said: "Liam likes his beats a little bit more. And Harry has more of a rocky edge with a rockier tone."

Horan has already released his debut single 'This Town' and the track is a stripped-back affair driven by acoustic guitar. He added of the song: "It’s just naturally what I would pick up and play on the guitar. I’m kind of an old soul when it comes to music."
