Fergie on new album: 'I want it to really mean something'

'London Bridge' hitmaker Fergie has revealed that she is taking time on her new studio album because she wants to "get things right".

Chatting to Pop Crush recently about her next body of work, which is called 'Double Dutchess', Fergie confessed that she is embracing her perfectionist nature and is aiming to make this collection of songs the very best she can:

"I just want to get things right and I just don’t want a whole bunch of random songs out there. I just wanted it to really mean something ’cause it’s my second (solo) album."

The new album hasn't been given a release date as of yet, but she added that it's going to be personal and eclectic: “It’s totally different, because with the Peas, we’re all just partying and going to clubs. (But) with this, there’s some of that on the album, but there’s also that part where it’s like, I get to open the pages of my journal and let people really in. It’s like serving a meal, I didn’t just want it to be one thing."
