Charli XCX on industry sexism: 'People always question if I write my own songs'

'Boom Clap' sensation Charli XCX has revealed that she's sick of people questioning whether or not she writes her own songs.

During an interview with BeBox, the songstress explained that women are often not given credit for creative input in the industry and it's often assumed that they don't write their own music:

"I think there are a lot more things against women, in a lot of industries, not just the music industry. There are a lot fewer female producers, even if there are female producers, like, not many people give them credit for that. You know people always question if I’m actually a songwriter and whether a lot of female artists write their own songs."
