Marcus Mumford regrets "rubbish" Mumford & Sons band name

Hitmaker Marcus Mumford has revealed that he regrets calling his band Mumford & Sons because it's "a rubbish name" that didn't have a lot of thought put into it.

He told Chris Moyles on Radio X that he would go back and change it if he could: "I regret our band name. It’s rubbish."

The musician added: "It’s a rubbish name. You never really think about it when you’re in the pub, you’ve done your first rehearsal, you’ve written your first song and someone’s like: ‘you need a band name now’."

The band's concert film, entitled 'Dust and Thunder', will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next year and they shared a tweet about availability recently: "#DustAndThunder comes to DVD & Blu-ray on Feb 3rd, along with our documentary We Wrote This Yesterday! Pre-order: http://gotr.me/DustAndThunder."
