Singer-songwriter and musician James Arthur has enjoyed an incredible end to the year after making a successful return to music with his album 'Back From The Edge' and there's one person who can't stop singing his praises. 

His former X Factor mentor Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she never stopped supporting Arthur and always encouraged him to fight through the difficult times:

"I never faltered with James because I know how pure his heart is and how talented he is. He was just misunderstood and misconstrued. We’ve been close friends throughout the whole thing and I guess I’ve been like a big sister or mentor."

She added: “I was there with him through those hard times and I just said, ‘Babe, put it in the writing. Keep going, do not give up and let your work speak for itself’."
