Singer Halsey has given some advice to aspiring artists who might be struggling to pursue their dreams. 

In an interview with Billboard, for the recent Women in Music event, the 'Ghost' hitmaker explained that she is living proof that you can achieve your goals with hard work and sheer determination, and she wants to pass that message along because it's so easy to feel overwhelmed:

"For young artists who think that making it is impossible... I will tell you right now that it is possible. You have to follow your dreams, you have to manifest what you want... if you wake up every day and you believe that you are the person you're going to be, eventually you will become that person - take it from me."

She added: "When I first started out, I was a brand new artist who had no idea what she was doing, and my managers didn't either and my team didn't either. I was pretty much surrounded by a bunch of people who were going at it for the first time - it was everybody's first try - and that was a bit discouraging for all of us because there was a lot for us to overcome."
