Sir Elton John has revealed that he could give up his luxurious lifestyle and would live in a caravan as long as he still had his partner David Furnish.

The star is well-known throughout his career as quite the spender, but can afford to, having sold millions of records worldwide.

However, Elton is convinced that he could give it all up and live “a simple life”.

On Piers Morgan’s show ‘Life Stories’ Elton said: "It's fun to have money. [But] I said to David, 'Listen, I would live with you in a caravan as long as I have you.' I do believe I could give it up. I have thought sometimes that it'd be nice to just buy a little house somewhere and b**ger off and have a simple life.

"But I'm too far gone in now, it has crossed my mind sometimes, when you feel a bit overwhelmed. I'm not that shallow and I'm not facile. If I had David in my life and my friends, I could live anywhere."
