Hotly tipped artist Jessie J has revealed that she suffered a stroke when she was only a teen and that she also suffers from heart troubles.

However, the Essex girl says that the problems don’t hold her back, but rather give her the drive to achieve the success she's always dreamed of.

Speaking to The Sun, Jessie said:  "I know what I like, I know what I want, I know who I want to be.

"I've got a slight heart problem and I had a minor stroke three or four years ago. I haven't got time to waste."

Jessie J has penned several hits for other artists, including Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party In The USA’, but will be releasing her own debut single ‘Do It Like A Dude’ in January. Watch the video – which already has four million YouTube hits – below:
