The Weeknd swats away La La Land to top US albums chart

The Weeknd has kept his position at the top of the US albums chart for a third week despite strong competition from the La La Land soundtrack.

The musician's 'Starboy' sold 63,000 equivalent units in the last week to stay at No.1 on the Billboard 200 - a sales decrease of 10% compared to its previous week. The soundtrack to La La Land climbed to No.2 with sales of 42,000 units.

The Moana soundtrack dropped from No.2 to No.3, while Bruno Mars’ '24K Magic' also dropped one spot to No.4 with sales of 36,000. J. Cole’s '4 Your Eyez Only' stayed put at No.5.
