Songstress Demi Lovato has revealed that she loves acting, but because her body art would need to be hidden for any roles she would take on, it could take forever. 

She told Entertainment Tonight that having tattoos makes acting a little tricky as it requires extra make-up and more time to cover them up before getting on screen:

"I did get bit by the acting bug a little bit (working on this movie), but I think I started thinking about it the other day, about wanting to go back into acting. You'd have to cover all my tattoos up and it would take forever."

Referring to her voice work for The Smurfs movie, the 'Skyscraper' sensation admitted that it was great to be able to act without having to actually be on camera:

"I was able to act and not be in front of a camera, which was really nice. I didn't have to go through hair and makeup, and I didn't have to worry about my camera angles and what not. So, it was nice to be as animated as I wanted to be, play with my voice and to just have fun with it."
