Kanye West breaks incredible BPI record

Hitmaker Kanye West has set an incredible new record according to the British Phonographic Industry

His album 'The Life of Pablo' has just been certified Silver in the UK, but it has become the very first record to achieve this feat on streams alone.

Singer Louis Tomlinson also has reason to celebrate this afternoon (January 20) as his debut solo single 'Just Hold On', which he released in collaboration with Steve Aoki, has been certified Silver shifting over 200,000 copies since its release.

Ed Sheeran's 'Shape Of You' has gone Gold, selling over 400,000 copies, and Tame Impala's album 'Currents' is now certified Gold in the United Kingdom.
