Singer Beyoncé has broken the record for the world's most liked Instagram photograph after she shared an snapshot of herself last night announcing her pregnancy. 

The star, who already has daughter Blue Ivy, is now expecting twins with husband Jay Z and took to Instagram yesterday to announce the great news. She accompanied the photography with the following caption:

"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters."

The post amassed 6.33 million likes in the first eight hours of being uploaded and now stands at 7.53 million likes. Selena Gomez previously held the record with a photograph of herself sipping from a bottle of Coca Cola, which secured 6.3 million likes last summer.
