Model Gigi Hadid has revealed that her connection with boyfriend Zayn came about naturally because they have similar interests and personalities that mesh really well. 

During a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she explained that there wasn't really a 'playing it cool' period because she was so attracted to him: "We played it cool for about 10 minutes. Then I was like, 'You're really cute.' We connected really quickly. We kind of have the same sense of humour, and just started sharing videos."

Back in November, Hadid opened up about her musical upbringing and joked that while One Direction isn't her bag, she does like Zayn's solo material:

"I grew up in a household where my stepdad was a classical musical producer - Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban - that was the music I was into. I think we can all name a One Direction song that we like, but... Or maybe not. I love Zayn Malik solo a lot more!"
