Despite prompting over 1,000 complaints from viewers, Christina Aguilera has no apologies to give over her sexed-up performance on Saturday’s (December 11) ‘The X Factor’.

Aguilera and Rihanna both did solo performances after singing duets with contestants Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle respectively, and shocked audiences with racy, suggestive routines and costumes. Officials at Ofcom were subsequently bombarded with complaints.

Aguilera said to the Daily Express: "I don't think there is such a thing as too raunchy when it comes to the art form of burlesque.

"It's very empowering to women to feel confident in their own skin and in their bodies and this represents that.

"Everyone in the spotlight is judged and there are many opinions out there but I stick true to what I believe in."
