Matthew Morrison, who is best know for his role as teacher Will Schuester in Glee, is planning a solo tour.

The actor and singer won’t be joining his fellow cast members on the UK and Ireland Glee tour in 2011, and instead wants to go it alone on stages across the globe.

Speaking on the television show Extra, he said:

“This is the only time I have off, really, so that’s why we’re kinda getting into it now. When Glee goes on hiatus in April, I’m gonna start doing a big tour”.

He recently appeared onstage with Leona Lewis, during her Labyrinth tour, to perform a duet of ‘Over The Rainbow’ and sang along side Gwyneth Paltrow in a special episode of Glee.
