The midweek UK singles chart rundown has revealed that Matt Cardle’s ‘When We Collide’ is on track for the number 1 position.

Cardle’s debut single is a cover of rock band Biffy Clyro’s ‘Many of Horror’, which has also entered the chart in the top ten this week, but at number 7.

Also new at number 3 is The Trashmen’s ‘Surfin’ Bird’, which was originally released in 1963 but was recently propelled back into life after it was featured in an episode of the adult animated series, Family Guy.
