N-Dubz singer Tulisa has had to speak out after a recent interview made her sound as if she is anti-men.

A newspaper yesterday (December 19) quoted the singer saying:  "I don't want a man. I hate men. I actually want a girl. Men mess up the brain... I wish I was gay."

However, after the article came out, Tulisa took to her personal Twitter to retract  the comments as just a bit of jesting.

She wrote: "Regarding the story 2day which I havnt even read but just heard about, every1 knows I said the I'm gay quote ages ago as a wind up.”

She added: "[I] don't know why its been brought back up, I am not gay. I am happily in a relationship...with a MAN! & I don't hate men lol."
