Joe McElderry wants a family Christmas

Joe McElderry has revealed he wants to spend a quiet Christmas with his family this year, but isn’t sure if he’ll have enough time out of his busy schedule.

He said: "What am I doing for Christmas? I want to have some time off with my friends and family I think. I might go back up north to Newcastle or I might go away, actually. We normally go skiing so we'll see. It depends if I get enough time off."

The ‘X Factor’ winner has had a packed year promoting his debut album 'Wake Up' (released October 2010), and plans to go out with a bang:  "New Year's Eve? I want to have a big party with all my friends. Maybe in London, maybe up north, I'm not sure."
