50 Cent starts a new record label

U.S rapper 50 Cent has created a new record label called G-Note.

The ‘In Da Club’ star used social networking site Twitter on December 18 to reveal who the first artist to sign to the label was:

“@officialhotrod is the first artist off G NOTE RECORDS”

In an interview with Vibe Magazine, Hot Rod explained:

“G-Unit Records is hardcore street influenced hip-hop music, but with G-Note it’s more of a pop, dance and R&B feel. I’m like a fusion of both. You’re still going to hear me rapping but it’s on a different style of production.”

“G-Note has been established, but we just didn’t go public until now.”
