Madonna has topped a new list documenting the celebrities whose names appear the most in print, making her the most talked about celeb of the noughties.

Since the year 2000, the 52-year-old, who is known for her constant reinvention and who also went through a high-profile divorce in recent years,  has had her name printed the most times in the most publications.

Brian Merron, of researcher Kantar Media, said: “This shows why she’s hailed as a legend.”

The most talked about celeb for 2010, however, was TV mogul and ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell.
