Will.i.am has hinted that he wants to compete with social networking giants Twitter and Facebook.

The Black Eyed Peas star says he wants to launch a rivalling site to get a piece of the lucrative social networking pie.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the ‘Check It Out’ singer said:"Everything’s changed and still is changing. These sites bring tens of millions of people together every day.

"When I see Twitter and Facebook, I see the Stones and the Beatles," he added. "Ten years from now, I could be [Facebook founder Mark] Zuckerberg."
