N-Dubz star Dappy has revealed that he is unsettled by the accuracy of status updates posted on fake accounts under his name on social networking sites.

Talking to the Daily Star, the rapper said: “When you type our names in Facebook, 10 fake profiles come up and these people, who are pretending to be us, seem to know more about our lives than we do.

“There’ll be a ‘Dappy’ status update saying: ‘I’m going to my mum’s’ when I am really going to see her.

“I read one that said: ‘I’m a bit pissed off ’cos my baby Gino just vomited on me.’

“It’s weird. Certain people are more than fans – they’re obsessed.”

However, the eerie updates have not been enough to put Dappy off of social networking, as he adds: “We love using those sites and have even written a song which namechecks Facebook and Twitter.

“We love getting proper messages from people.”
