Last night (January 5) saw the return of the much celebrated People's Choice Awards with some surprising winners. 

Heavyweight rap phenomenon Eminem took home an incredible 4 awards, including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Song, Favorite Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Music Video. 

'Firework' singer Katy Perry also won double trophies after scooping the titles for Favourite Female Artist and Favourite Online Sensation, whilst country pop crossover sensation Taylor Swift was crowned Favourite Country Artist. 

Rihanna was given three People's Choice Awards for Favourite Pop Artist and won Favourite Music Video and Song for her collaboration with Eminem on 'Love The Way You Lie'.

Favourite R&B Star was awarded to Usher and Paramore earned the role of Favourite Rock Band. Surprisingly, Disney star Selena Gomez won Favourite Breakout Artist ahead of Justin Bieber who was also nominated in that category.
