Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed more details on the forthcoming Freddie Mercury biopic. 

In 2010 it was confirmed that a movie would be made about the late musician and vocalist, Mercury, with Sacha Baron Cohen tipped to play the lead role. Now, months later May has written on his personal website:

"Peter Morgan has delivered a first draft of the movie, which everyone is very excited about, and Sacha Baron Cohen is chomping at the bit to get into the role, in a way which certainly would delight Freddie!"

May also stated on January 10 that work for the film is "now fully under way".
