3 Golden Globes for Glee

Glee swept last night's (January 16) Golden Globe Awards ceremony and took home a grand total of three trophies.

The success of the U.S series has been phenomenal and it scooped the title of Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical, beating other very popular shows with global audiences including The Big Bang Theory and 30 Rock.

The award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television was given to Glee's Jane Lynch, who plays the hard-headed cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, and Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on the show, was named Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role or Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Colfer tweeted:

"I can't believe it. I'm not sure how much my shaky hands can tweet, but thank you so much! Couldn't do what I do without you guys!"
