Muse publically debut new concert footage experience

UK rockers Muse have become the first band to publicise a revolution in concert footage releases on their website.

The new MATIvision technology allows the concert viewer to watch from a number of points on or in front of the stage at a concert and also to be able to control the viewpoint from every angle.

During a series of concerts at Wembley Arena last September, Muse had the 7 separate spherical cameras installed to record the footage. The online technology seems akin to Google Maps – allowing the user to drag the viewer to whatever angle he or she prefers.

The footage was originally sent to Muse fans as a Christmas present but has recently become available to the public on their website.
