Glee turns down Eminem after huge fee is set by label

Several high profile acts have turned down the opportunity to have their music featured in U.S hit show 'Glee', but in an unusual role reversal one artist in particular was denied by the series. 

Creator of 'Glee', Ryan Murphy, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter than he really wanted to use Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' in a forthcoming episode but the cost of the rights sadly caused him to rethink it. He said:

"We couldn't do it because the episode would've been so over budget."

According to Nme.com, Eminem's record company asked for $200,000 to have the show's talented cast recreate the track, which was too much for Murphy. You can watch the preview of the exciting post-superbowl 'Glee' episode here:
