Eurovision bound Blue respond to ex-manager's criticism

Following the announcement over the weekend that boy band Blue will be representing the UK at Eurovision, the band's former manager spoke out about the decision.

Daniel Glatman slammed the choice and said:

"They will have to win. Anything less and their reputation would be in tatters."

"It is the equivalent of Lewis Hamilton entering a go-kart race - he will be the strong favourite but there is also the possibility he could lose - so why risk it?"

He also branded the boys' forthcoming Eurovision performance as "reckless insanity", which has caused Blue to issue a statement on the harsh criticism and singer Duncan James told BBC's Newsbeat:

"There's been a lot of negativity but all we ask is, please hold off until you hear the song,"

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Obviously we don't agree with him (Glatman)."

"We believe this is going to be the best springboard for us to come back on."
