Chase & Status' new album almost delayed by illness

Drum and bass duo, Chase & Status, were almost forced to delay the release of their new album 'No More Idols', which shot into the midweek albums chart at number 2.

One half of the popular act, Saul, revealed to the Daily Star newspaper that a suspected bout of swine flu almost put a stop to the promotion:

"We did some gigs in Australia at the start of last month and were all prepared to promote the album as soon as we got home. When we landed I started feeling bloody awful."

“We had this mad schedule and all I could concentrate on was how ill I felt."

“I was told it was probably swine flu and was sent to hospital. I was in an isolation ward and was dosed up with Tamiflu."

Luckily for the 29 year old, Saul "Chase" Milton, it turned out to be an exaggerated viral infection and the pair could go ahead with the release as scheduled, which turned out to be well timed. He said of the midweek chart position:

“We don’t want to get too excited yet. We don’t want to jinx it."

“We won’t believe we’ve done that until we see it, but if it happens we’ll celebrate in style.”
