Elvis Costello to relaunch 'Spinning Songbook' tour

Legendary musician Elvis Costello has delighted fans in the U.S by announcing that he will restage his 1986 'Spectacular Spinning Songbook' tour.

The novel concept was designed by the star several decades ago and sees a huge wheel marked with 40 different songs put onto the stage, which when spun determines what Costello will perform next.

Billboard.com reports that The Imposters will provide the backing music and is an act that "features keyboardist Steve Nieve, drummer Pete Thomas and bassist Davey Fargher."

The tour will begin on May 7 in Nevada and is set to finish on May 23 in New York City, and songs on the wheel will include 'Accidents Will Happen', 'Puppet Girl' and 'Almost Blue'. You can watch Elvis Costello and The Attractions perform their popular hit 'Oliver's Army' here:
