Björk, Snoop Dogg and Damon Albarn for Manchester Festival

Björk, Snoop Dogg and Blur's frontman Damon Albarn have all been confirmed to perform at this year's Manchester International Festival.

The music and arts extravaganza will take place in July and the Icelandic songstress is set to play a whopping 6 gigs, which will run from June 30 until July 16. She will debut songs from her 'Biophilia' album during the three week residency and tickets for her shows go on sale tomorrow, March 18.

Damon Albarn will be unveiling his new show, Doctor Dee, which is set to run for 8 nights at the festival and the statement explains that it's a performance that "explores ritual and symbolism in this country". U.S rapper Snoop Dogg will also be drawing fans to the event as he promises to play his album 'Doggystyle' in full for one night only on July 15 at the Manchester Apollo.

All tickets will be made available on Friday, March 18 and you can watch Björk's highlights from her recent karaoke marathon for Icelandic nature, here:
