Simon Cowell admires Rebecca Black

UK music mogul Simon Cowell has confessed that he is in utter admiration of the YouTube sensation Rebecca Black.

The young star who is responsible for the viral hit 'Friday', which has now had in excess of 26 million views on the video hosting site, has been the talk of the industry for the past week and hasn't budged from the trending topics on Twitter.

Her almost overnight popularity caught Cowell's attention, who told People Magazine:

"I want to meet her. Anyone who can create this much controversy within a week, I want to meet. I love people like that."

Speaking about the track itself, and giving his trademark honest criticism, he said:

"I love it! I’ve never seen anything cause so much controversy."

"I think it’s genius. The fact that everyone’s getting upset about it is hysterical."

Earlier this week, U.S artist Chris Brown was shown Black's video and sang along, saying "honest opinion, I'm never a hater. It was great!"
