'Glee' newcomer Chord Overstreet made his chat show debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, March 21 and wowed the audience. 

The star, who plays the character of Sam Evans, appeared on the popular programme to talk about his transition into the hit U.S series and revealed that he was in the music business before 'Glee':

"Yeah, I grew up playing guitar and drums and instruments, and I actually started writing songs and stuff right towards my senior year of high school and started getting into it that way, and one thing led to another and there you have it!"

He also addressed the fact that he spends a lot of time on the show with his shirt off, and pulled his jeans down to reveal a pair of specially tailored underwear emblazoned with the words "Ellen's got my tight end covered".
