One Direction aim for summer release

2010's X Factor heartthrobs, One Direction, appeared as guests on this afternoon's 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show'.

The five-piece boy band were there to promote the new Pokémon Black and White game, which is available on the Nintendo DS, but also spoke about how they are dealing with the pressures of fame.

Speaking about performing at London's O2 Arena, the guys said:

"I remember the first time we come up from underneath the stage on these lifts, it was the most amazing feeling."

Despite their young ages, they made it clear that they're staying grounded and joked:

"There's far too much banter in this group to let it get to anyone's heads!"

When asked about the possibility of a debut single and when it's likely to be released, Zain Malik revealed:

"I think we're looking to release in the summer time, June sometime."

"We just wanna make a massive track to start off with and see where it goes from there really"
